There is only one hotel at Montserrat Monastery: Hotel Abat Cisneros. It is a three star hotel that sits at the very heart of Montserrat Monastery. It is located inside a building that has been the provider of accommodation for pilgrims to the monastery since 1563. In the late-1950's the old monastery building was converted into a hostel. Then, in 2000, further conversions were made to the building, turning it into the Hotel Abat Cisneros that we see today. Hotel Abat Cisneros has its own restaurant: Restaurant Abat Cisneros. This restaurant is open to all visitors to Montserrat but is attached to the hotel, on the ground floor. It is located inside an atmospheric room, with an arched exposed brick ceiling. The hotel lobby and restaurant offer complete disabled access. There is also a lift with widened doors to all floors of the hotel.

There are a total of two rooms in the hotel that are adapted for if you are a limited mobility traveller. They have widened doors and adapted bathrooms.

If you would like to book one of the disabled access rooms, it is best to call the hotel reservations number (see below). This is because the online booking service does not allow you to specify that you would like an adapted room.

If you are coming to Montserrat from Barcelona, it is most likely that you will be catching the Barcelona to Montserrat Train. If this is the case, you will either take the Cable Car or the rack railway to the Monastery at the top of Montserrat Mountain. From both the rack railway station and the cable car station, the hotel is less than five minutes walk.
